Summary : It does both mopping and vacuuming, it’s incredibly cheap for what it does. Most robotic vacuum cleaners fall short in one way or another… but from our extensive research, we couldn’t find any flaws.
The iClebo YCR-M05-10 Arte has a long name, and for a good reason – it does quite a few things. Well, really just two, but those two are nothing to scoff at.
It mops and vacuums.
This is fairly revolutionary – even the big players with dozens of models for their robotic vacuum cleaners haven’t integrated mopping into any of them. Below, we’ll review all of its features (there are quite a few), and after that, we’ll cover what you get in the box.
Hint: you get a ton of stuff in the box. Far more than just the base unit.
iClebo YCR-M05-10 Arte Features
The engine algorithm is ridiculous
One of the biggest problems with robotic vacuum cleaners is with the sensors. Yes, all of them create a map of your house… but some just don’t do it very well. At all. They’ll detect where the walls and rugs are, but past that, they’ll slam into furniture and push smaller objects (toys, pet bowls, etc.) around the room at will.
The engine for the YCR-M05-10 Arte addresses all of these concerns. It first creates a map, but it also continues to map throughout the duration of its clean. To be specific, it has 50 sensors, and it can analyze its surroundings up to 10,800 times per second. That’s not a typo.
This results in everything being cleaned as precisely as possible, and it also results in the unit not hitting anything. Ever.
Very slim to cover everything
Clunky robotic vacuums are okay, but not great. If they’re too wide or too tall, they won’t be able to clean underneath certain pieces of furniture, and as we all know, underneath furniture is usually where the majority of grime builds up.
At just 8.9cm in height, it’ll be able to fit under almost anything. And on top of that, it’s only 13.4 inches in diameter. You’ll need some seriously tiny furniture for the YCR-M05-10 Arte to have a problem with it.
A massive 160 minute run time
That’s two hours and forty minutes.
The YCR-M05-10 Arte also recharges itself when it runs out of battery, but the name of the game in robotic vacuum cleaning is getting the job done in one run. If that can’t be accomplished, then the unit will have to charge, and because charging usually takes 1-2x the run time, having to charge turns the entire process into a lengthy endeavour.
Unless you have an abnormally large house, the YCR-M05-10 Arte will be able to cover it in one sweep.
The longer run time doesn’t come by compromising on power… it comes from doing everything correctly. The YCR-M05-10 Arte was designed to be as energy efficient as possible, so despite its small size, it can use a single battery charge exceptionally well.
2cm supported for your doors and rugs
The difference between 1cm and 2cm isn’t a big deal when it comes to rugs and doorways… unless you’re dealing with a robotic vacuum cleaner, that is. The YCR-M05-10 Arte can climb up to 2cm, whereas other robotic vacuums max out at 1cm to 1.5cm.
This seems like a small difference, but it’s not. By being able to climb higher, the YCR-M05-10 Arte can clean where other vacuums would get stuck. This results in less manual work (moving the unit around) for you.
Dislodges dirt like a champion
All robotic vacuum cleaners have brushes on the sides of them. (Well, the good ones do.)
The YCR-M05-10 Arte is no exception, and it actually takes this one step further by having incredibly fast brushes. They rotate at 816 revolutions per minute.
This means that all dirt will be dislodged from your floors… period. 816 rotations per minute equates to 13.6 rotations per second, so every single inch of your house is getting adequate cleaning.
A 1-year warranty on the machine and battery
When robotic vacuum cleaners first came into the public eye, a 1-year warranty was standard. However, since then, the
warranties have only gotten worse and worse… for example, Roomba only offers a 6-month warranty on the battery for the unit.
iClebo has stuck to the 1-year policy, and even better, the repairs all happen in California – not overseas. This means that you won’t have to pay much for shipping, and on top of that, you’ll get your unit back faster. (Overseas shipping can take up to a month round trip.)
Plenty of different modes to suit your home
Not all homes are the same. Some are laid out methodically, where an up-and-down pattern will be most effective. Some are laid out at random, where a random cleaning pattern will be most effective.
The iClebo YCR-M05-10 Arte not only includes all of these different modes, but you can actually mix and match them as you please. For example, if you combine Spot Mode and Navigation Mode, you get a once-off methodical clean, and then a random pattern to make it spotless.
Combine this navigating with iClebo’s sensors and you get a truly spotless clean from start to finish.
The downside: you get a bunch of extras
As you can probably tell, that’s not actually a downside. It’s a bonus.
In the box, you get…
- iiClebo Arte Robotic Vacuum
- Charging station
- Remote Control – most robotic vacuums in this price range don’t have this included
- AA Batteries x 2
- Quick guide
- Side Brush (2 Left & 2 Right) – usually, you only get one set, and if one breaks, you have to replace it
- Mop Plate
- Cleaning Brush
- Hepa Filter (7) – usually, you only get one or two included
- Ultra Microfiber Wet Mop (4) – usually, you only get one or two included
- Area Boundary Tape – usually, manufacturers try to upsell you on boundary tape, for example, the “invisible walls” from iRobot’s Roomba line
Usually, we list all of the downsides of a particular model in this space. But the YCR-M05-10 Arte doesn’t really have any.
It does both mopping and vacuuming, it’s incredibly cheap for what it does, the reviews are out of this world, and the support is second to none. Most robotic vacuum cleaners fall short in one way or another… but from our extensive research, we couldn’t find any flaws.
